Four Key Traits of Ideal Role Model

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SEMARANG – The Secretary-General of Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu’ti mentioned four human types for being a role model.

The first type is ulul ilmi, individuals with extensive knowledge and broad horizons.

“The Quran refers to those who have attained a high level of understanding as ulul ilmi,” said Mu’ti during the Orientation Day at Universitas Muhammadiyah (Unismuh) Semarang on Wednesday, September 4.

These individuals bear the moral responsibility to share their knowledge with others.

“They are the guardians of wisdom, bringing enlightenment to humanity,” Mu’ti added.

The second group is ulul albab, individuals who seek to deepen their knowledge through reflection on Allah’s creation.

“These are people with profound understanding who constantly strive for more,” Mu’ti explained.

Ulul albab not only acquire knowledge but apply it in their daily lives, drawing wisdom from their reflections on the world around them.

“This approach helps them gain not just knowledge, but also practical wisdom for everyday life,” he added.

The third group, ulul absar, refers to individuals with visionary foresight.

“Ulul absar are visionaries who can anticipate future events,” said Mu’ti.

He emphasized that these individuals not only foresee future developments but also shape the future through their knowledge and skills.

“They approach issues from multiple perspectives and strategically plan for changes in the world,” he added.

Ulul absar are not just prepared for change. They actively manage and direct it, shaping the course of the world’s future.

The last type is ulinuha, individuals with pure hearts and clear consciences.

“Ulinuha are known for their wisdom, empathy, and emotional sensitivity,” said Mu’ti.

These individuals deeply understand and connect with the feelings of others, showing great compassion.

“With their pure conscience, ulinuha become role models in both behavior and interactions,” said Mu’ti.

In his concluding remarks, Mu’ti urged the new Unimus Semarang students to emulate these four ideal types in their daily lives. He emphasized that individuals who are knowledgeable, reflective, visionary, and have pure hearts can bring about positive change for themselves and society.

“If we can embody the qualities of ulul ilmi, ulul albab, ulul absar, and ulinuha, we will not only excel as individuals but also become strong pillars for the advancement of humanity and the nation,” he concluded.
