MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, TUNISIA – Muhammadiyah strengthened its international network by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Ez-Zitouna, Tunisia. It became an effort to strengthen the Muhammadiyah national network.
The Chairperson of Muhammad Syafiq A. Mughni emphasized the international collaboration on Islamic education.
“This partnership not only symbolizes the strong diplomatic relations between our two nations but also represents a tangible step towards enhancing the exchange of knowledge and culture among nations. We hope this synergy will lead to high-quality research and foster a generation of leaders who understand global values,” said Syafiq during the MoU signing at the University of Ez-Zitouna on Monday, November 18.
The partnership between University of Ez-Zitouna and Muhammadiyah encompasses a wide range of strategic programs, including student and faculty exchange, short courses focusing on Islamic, social, and educational issues, and international seminars to broaden global academic discourse.
Meanwhile, expressing his appreciation for the strategic partnership, Rector of University of Ez-Zitouna Abdellatif Bouazizi emphasized that this collaboration is a crucial step in strengthening bilateral relations between Tunisia and Indonesia.
“We believe this collaboration will bring significant benefits, not only to our universities but also to the Islamic academic world,” said Abdellatif.
The signing of the MoU marks a significant milestone for the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM) of Tunisia, as it reaffirms the organization’s commitment to fostering innovative and inclusive international education. PCIM of Tunisia hoped that this collaboration will become a foundation for deeper and more sustainable programs in the future.
