MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, MALANG – Muhammadiyah cadres are called upon to actively demonstrate their commitment to the Pancasila State as Darul Ahdi Wasy Syahadah (a nation of consensus testimony) through real, tangible contributions.
The message was delivered by Agung Danarto,Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Board (PP Muhammadiyah), during the opening of the Tanwir National Meeting of the Muhammadiyah University Student Association (IMM) at Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) on Wednesday (29/10).
“As Muhammadiyah cadres, we must take action and prove that the Pancasila State truly embodies the ideals and aspirations we all share,” Agung stated.
He explained that Darusy Syahadah (the nation of testimony) represents the space where Muhammadiyah cadres affirm their faith through concrete acts of nation-building and social contribution.
Agung referred to Muhammadiyah’s 47th National Congress, which affirmed that the Pancasila State is fully in line with the organization’s vision of building a just and prosperous society under the blessing of Allah SWT.
“For Muhammadiyah, there’s no longer a need to debate the form of the state. The Pancasila and the Unitary State of Republic Indonesia (NKRI) are the legitimate frameworks for our struggle to build a just, prosperous and virtuous society,” he affirmed.
Agung also stressed that Indonesia is the testing ground for Muhammadiyah’s commitment, where its cadres are expected to actualize the broader vision of a baldatun thayyibatun wa rabbun ghafur (a good and blessed nation under God’s mercy).
“This commitment must inspire Muhammadiyah cadres, including IMM members, to spread out and take part across all levels of society and national life,” he urged.
He further emphasized that the knowledge and skills gained by Muhammadiyah students must be applied in service to the community and the nation, not kept for personal gain.
“For Muhammadiyah, knowledge is a tool and a provision for service to humanity and the nation. As the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, the best of people are those who bring benefit to others,” Agung concluded. (Bintang Adrian)
