MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Secretary General of Muhammadiyah Abdu Mu’ti and Chairman Saad Ibrahim welcomed Muhammad adh-Dhuwaini, Deputy Grand Imam of Al-Azhar University, and his entourage at the Muhammadiyah Office of Jakarta, on Monday (June 24).
Following the meeting, Saad mentioned that Al-Azhar University and Muhammadiyah have an existing strong collaboration. He highlighted the shared commitment of both parties to further enhance their partnership, particularly in the realm of academic exchange.
“Though our meeting was brief, it has undoubtedly fostered a deeper understanding of the relationship between Al-Azhar and Muhammadiyah. We are committed to building upon our longstanding cooperation, including the historical ties between Indonesia and Egypt, and specifically between Al-Azhar and Muhammadiyah,” said Saad.
“We have agreed to explore opportunities for faculty exchange. This will enable scholars from Al-Azhar University to share their knowledge and expertise with students at various Muhammadiyah universities,” explained Saad.
