MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, THAILAND – Former Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Council for Cadre and Human Resources 2015-2020 Ari Ansori highlighted the importance of faith and devotion as the foundation for carrying out Muhammadiyah mission, especially in da’wa and Islamic studies. He encouraged all Muhammadiyah members to consistently refer to the Qur’an as their main guide in da’wa in Indonesia and overseas.
“Muhammadiyah is a movement dedicated to uplifting the community through da’wa. To be a leader in Muhammadiyah, one should have faith, piety, and a strong commitment to studying the Qur’an,” said Ari in the lecture conducted by the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM) of Thailand at Masjid Darul Aman, Bangkok on Saturday, July 26.
Ari also shared a key message from the Qur’an, Surah Al-Mulk verse 15, which encourages believers to explore the world and make use of its blessings responsibly.
“It is He who made the earth manageable for you—so walk through its paths and eat of His provision—and to Him is the resurrection.” (Al-Mulk: 15)
Ari explained that this verse becomes a meaningful foundation for Muhammadiyah’s international mission, especially for members living abroad. According to him, PCIM’s presence in different countries reflects Muhammadiyah’s commitment to global da’wah.
“The presence of PCIM in many countries is clear evidence that Muhammadiyah da’wa goes beyond national borders. It’s both a spiritual responsibility and an opportunity to spread enlightenment wherever we are,” said Ari.
PCIM Thailand hopes to continue building strong relations among the Muslim community overseas and to strengthen the spirit of da’wa, ensuring that Islamic and Muhammadiyah values continue to thrive in global settings.
