MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANDUNG – Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (UNISA) Bandung firstly accepted two Palestinian students for the 2024 academic year. The students are taking the Nursing program at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
Chairperson of the ‘Aisyiyah Provincial Board of East Java Ia Kurniati appreciated the scholarships for Palestinian students. She hoped that Unisa Bandung would be a new beginning for their academic development.
“The students are moving forward to a new stage of life. During their study, they will develop their academic knowledge, characters, discipline, and understanding of Islamic values,” said Ia Kurniati in a press release on September 24.
She mentioned that, when students study at a Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah university, they are associated with 163 Muhammadiyah-’Aisyiyah universities.
“All students are the next generation and future leaders of the nation,” said Ia Kurniati.
Meanwhile, Vice Rector I of UNISA Bandung Sitti Syabariyah warmly welcomed the two Palestinian students, Basmala N. S. Abudalal and Hala I. S. Lubbad .
“We are proud of having two Palestinian students. Their presence demonstrates our commitment to supporting global education and international solidarity for Palestine,” said Sitti.
She also mentioned that UNISA Bandung is eager to collaborate with various national and international parties.
