MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA — President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir emphasized that the progress of the nation relies on strong political will and a sustainable system of leadership.
“If this country stays on the right path, moves in the right direction, and public officials at every level truly work for the people, I believe the national goals can be achieved,” said Haedar in the visit of the Minister of National Development Planning (Bappenas) Rachmat Pambudy to the Muhammadiyah headquarters of Yogyakarta on Monday, June 9.
Haedar stressed the importance of strong political will from national leaders. Drawing comparisons with countries like Vietnam, he pointed out how progress often follows when leaders are clear in their development goals and committed to making them happen.
“Even the smallest form of authority, when used properly, can help a nation grow. If our leaders manage the country wisely, our problems can be solved,” said Haedar.
Haedar also urged the government not to decide development projects hastily without considering human resources.
“There must be balance. We can develop the nation without causing harm,” emphasized Haedar.
Haedar further highlighted the importance of building a strong system that lasts beyond individual leaders.
“Leaders come and go, but the system should remain strong,” said Haedar.
Haedar hoped that Indonesia would continue moving forward with solid systems and capable leadership.
“We believe that if everything is built on trust and managed with strength, Indonesia will keep growing,” said Haedar.
