MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JORDAN – The Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM) of Jordan, through its Lazismu (the Muhammadiyah Department of Charity Management), distributed sacrificial meat to Palestinian refugees as part of its Eid al-Adha humanitarian initiative.
The sacrificial animal, which included three cows and twenty-five goats, was slaughtered in Sweileh, Amman, with the help of local volunteers and slaughterhouse staff. The activity took place during Eid al-Adha and was carried out under the coordination of Lazismu of PCIM Jordan.
The sacrifice committee coordinator Aditya Falah explained that volunteers closely monitored the entire process, from slaughtering to packaging, which took about five hours. After the meat was prepared, it was delivered to Palestinian refugees living in the Jerash refugee camp.
Aditya also expressed his gratitude to those who trusted Lazismu of PCIM Jordan to carry out the sacrifice.
“Alhamdulillah, the sacrificial meat has been distributed to Palestinian refugees. May this good deed be rewarded,” said Aditya.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Ahmad, who oversees the Gaza refugee camp in Jerash, expressed his appreciation for Muhammadiyah support.
“We extend our gratitude to Muhammadiyah for caring and helping the refugees enjoy sacrificial meat on this special day. There are 232 families living here. The meat was distributed using a coupon system, mostly to Palestinian refugees. We hope Muhammadiyah will continue supporting the Palestinian refugees in this Jerash camp in the future,” expressed Sheikh Ahmad.
