Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Marks 94 Years of Empowering Resilient Young Women

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Nasyiatul Aisyiyah (NA) celebrated its 94th anniversary in the Gregorian calendar, or 97th in the Hijri calendar, with a renewed spirit and reflection on its long journey of empowering young women.

In her speech, President of NA Ariati Dina Puspitasari emphasized the organization’s commitment to strengthening the role of young women as agents of change in today’s challenging world. This year’s theme, “Resilient Women Enlighten Civilization,” reflects NA’s focus not only on celebrating its history but also on building a clear direction for the future.

“A resilient woman is someone who can face challenges and become a driver of change, grounded in faith, physical and mental strength, the values of Al-Ma’un, and equal access to opportunities,” said Ariati on Friday, May 16.

Ariati highlighted that resilience is built through courage to keep learning, strength to overcome difficulties, and sincerity in serving others.

“Nasyiatul Aisyiyah has shown that resilience means being brave enough to learn continuously, strong enough to endure challenges, and willing to serve with a sincere heart,” said Ariati.

Ariati also acknowledged the growing complexity of today’s issues, from identity crises to moral and humanitarian problems. However, she remains optimistic that NA members can face these challenges by holding onto progressive Islamic values, strong family support, and a collective spirit of solidarity.

To close her speech, Ariati encouraged all members and allies to stay committed, broaden their impact, and continue to serve society as strong, inspiring young women.

“Let your light brighten the world with love, insight, and moral example,” said Arianti.

This anniversary becomes a reflection on NA’s nearly one hundred years of contributions, supporting the nation, educating generations, and promoting social justice through the strength of empowered young women.
