MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, PADANG – Chairman Muhammadiyah Saad Ibrahim outlined three crucial commitments of Muhammadiyah to uplift the nation and humanity.
Saad Ibrahim emphasized Muhammadiyah’s role as a progressive Islamic movement with a profound responsibility for the well-being of humanity.
The first commitment focuses on quality education, recognized as the cornerstone for building an advanced and dignified nation. Muhammadiyah is unwavering in its dedication to developing high-quality education, spanning from basic to higher education.
The second commitment extends to the enhancement of community well-being, with a specific focus on the less privileged. Muhammadiyah actively participates in various programs, including economic empowerment, healthcare initiatives, and social support.
The third commitment revolves around fostering harmony and peace within the community. Muhammadiyah stands firm in its resolve to preserve unity amidst the diversity of society.
“Maintaining harmony among religious communities is crucial in nurturing national unity. Muhammadiyah actively engages in various efforts, from interfaith dialogues to strengthening tolerance values and ensuring fair and just law enforcement,” said Saad Ibrahim in Masjid Nurul Iman, Padang on Saturday (November 11).
He reminded all Muhammadiyah members to continue their spirited efforts in preaching and contributing to the nation’s development. Saad said that all Muhammadiyah endeavors are conducted for the benefit of all.
