MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Muhammadiyah signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Zurich General Takaful Indonesia (Zurich Syariah) to strengthen community empowerment and promote Islamic financial literacy. The partnership was formalized at the Muhammadiyah headquarters, Jakarta on Monday, November 4.
The signing ceremony was attended by key figures from both organizations, including the General Treasurer of Muhammadiyah Hilman Latief and the President Director of Zurich Syariah Hilman Simanjuntak.
This strategic collaboration aims to bolster social empowerment programs, develop Islamic economic and financial education, and provide health insurance coverage for Muhammadiyah communities across Indonesia.
Hilman Latief expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing that it extends beyond economic empowerment to encompass healthcare.
“We warmly welcome this collaboration with Zurich Syariah as a tangible step towards empowering our communities and promoting Islamic financial education. This partnership not only strengthens Muhammadiyah role in improving Islamic financial literacy but also provides broader access to health protection for our communities,” said Hulman Latief.
Meanwhile, Hilman Simanjuntak echoed Latief stated that the collaboration is a significant step towards advancing Islamic economic development and improving the welfare of the community.
“We are confident that our partnership with Muhammadiyah will provide long-lasting benefits to many, particularly in enhancing financial literacy and access to health protection,” he said.
