MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – The Libyan government has offered special scholarship quotas for Muhammadiyah members. The announcement was made during a visit by the Libyan Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Zakarya MM El Maghrabi, to the Muhammadiyah office, Jakarta.
In response to this generous offer, the Muhammadiyah Overseas Scholarship team, in collaboration with the Muhammadiyah Special Branch of Libya (PCIM Libya), has officially opened the application process for the undergraduate program in Islamic Da’wa at the International Islamic Call College and Asmarya Islamic University in Libya for the academic year of 2024/2025.
Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Syafiq A. Mughni expressed his gratitude for this opportunity.
“We wholeheartedly welcome this scholarship offer as a golden opportunity for Muhammadiyah members to expand their knowledge and perspectives abroad. We hope that the recipients will make the most of this opportunity and contribute positively to their communities,” said Syafiq on Sunday, October 20.
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the 2024 Libya Scholarship Selection Committee Saiful Bahri emphasized the significance of this collaboration.
“The scholarship opportunity offered by the Libyan Embassy presents a unique chance for Muhammadiyah members to learn from renowned scholars and attend prestigious universities in Libya,” he said.
