Muhammadiyah has officially introduced an innovative product, the Air Conditioner Muhammadiyah (AC MU), at the Tanwir National Meeting in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Designed with advanced technology for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability, AC MU reflects Muhammadiyah commitment to preserving the planet for future generations.
The CEO of PT Green Sinar Mentari Jaenudin explained that AC MU uses the latest inverter technology, making it both energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
“AC MU is a five-star air conditioner with high energy efficiency and low carbon emissions. It meets government standards,” said Jaenudin on Thursday, December 5.
AC MU has undergone extensive testing in six Muhammadiyah hospitals, with nearly 1,000 units installed since 2017. The results were impressive, with energy savings ranging from 17% to 26%. For instance, RS Islam Jakarta Cempaka Putih reported a 24% energy saving, while RS Muhammadiyah Lamongan and RS PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping achieved 17% and 26% savings, respectively.
One unique feature of AC MU is its integrated prayer time reminder. Users can choose to display a visual schedule of prayer times or receive an adhan reminder at each prayer time. This feature is designed to help users stay focused on their religious duties while carrying out their daily activities..
Manufactured in Semarang, Indonesia, AC MU is committed to increasing its local content. While 90% of raw materials are currently imported, the company aims to boost domestic components as demand grows. Additionally, AC MU offers an impressive 10-year warranty, a rarity in the industry.
The product is available in various types, from 1 PK to 1.5 PK split units, as well as cassette-type units for larger spaces. AC MU is competitively priced, with 2 PK 5-star units being more affordable than similar products on the market.
Muhammadiyah aims to equip its various institutions, such as hospitals and schools, with AC MU. Muhammadiyah members can also enjoy a 10% discount when purchasing the product.
