Expanding Service, SPPG ‘Aisyiyah 2 Launched to Support Education and Welfare

Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, Chairperson of 'Aisyiyah

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta has once again reaffirmed its commitment as a cadre school of the Muhammadiyah movement that plays a role in advancing the nation’s intellectual life. This commitment was emphasized during the inauguration of Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (Satgas Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi/SPPG) ‘Aisyiyah 2 Mu’allimaat Yogyakarta by the Chairperson of ‘Aisyiyah, Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, on Wednesday (11/02).

Noordjannah highlighted the importance of synergy between Muhammadiyah, ‘Aisyiyah, and the government in advancing education and preparing the nation’s future generations.

“This madrasah is highly strategic. During the era of Kyai Dahlan, modern schools were still very limited. Mu’allimaat and Mu’allimin were established on Kyai Dahlan’s initiative to provide modern education in theri time,” Noordjannah explained.

According to her, since their inception, Mu’allimaat and Mu’allimin Yogyakarta have been envisioned as cadre schools that produce not only knowledgeable graduates, but also individuals of strong character with a commitment to the nation.

SPPG ‘Aisyiyah as A Concrete Action

Noordjannah stressed that collaboration between Muhammadiyah, ‘Aisyiyah, and the government is not merely rhetoric. She stated that such synergy has consistently been realized through concrete actions that directly benefit society.

The inauguration of SPPG ‘Aisyiyah 2, she continued, stands as tangible proof of that commitment. She expressed hope that the presence of this SPPG would strengthen the contributions of ‘Aisyiyah and Muhammadiyah.

“Therefore, we want to continue participating and synergizing with all parties. We intended on safeguarding this good intention through proper processes so that it will yield real benefits,” she said.

Noordjannah also expressed appreciation to the team and volunteers who will manage the operation of SPPG ‘Aisyiyah 2 Mu’allimaat Yogyakarta. She described the responsibility as a great trust that requires dedication and sincerity.

“This is a tremendous responsibility, but we have a clear mission and good intentions. I am confident that with such commitment, Allah will always protect us and grant us the best results,” she concluded. (Bhisma)
