MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army, General Maruli Simanjuntak, visited the Center for Integrated Research and Innovation (CIRNOV) at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan (UAD), Yogyakarta, on Wednesday, May 28.
During the visit, General Maruli expressed his appreciation for UAD’s innovative research and encouraged continued collaboration between the university and the Army. He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with higher education institutions to support the country’s development through research.
“He was very responsive to the research by UAD. Hopefully, this will lead to a greater contribution to Indonesia in the future,” said Irwan Akib, Chairperson of Muhammadiyah.
General Maruli also highlighted the importance of tapping into the country’s intellectual potential and encouraged academics, researchers, and the public to continue exploring new ideas that can benefit national development.
“UAD is truly remarkable and very enthusiastic in supporting people who are passionate about contributing to the nation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rector of UAD Muchlas MT shared the university’s commitment to working with various partners in advancing scientific research. He stated that UAD prioritizes evidence-based research and ensures its projects align with national interests.
“In this area, we focus on scientific research. When it comes to policies, we will always follow the direction of the state,” he said.
CIRNOV is dedicated to conducting research with measurable outcomes that have a real impact on society. Its work has become a notable achievement for UAD and a valuable contribution to the Indonesian Army’s interests.
