Joint Action Palestine 2025: Muhammadiyah Humanitarian Mission

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Department of Charity Management (Lazismu) Ahmad Imam Mujadid Rais officially deployed the Joint Action Palestine 2025 delegation on Thursday, February 20.

This humanitarian mission, organized by Lazismu and POROZ (Association of Zakat Management Organizations), aims to provide direct support to the Palestinian people. Rais emphasized that this initiative is not just about aid but also solidarity from Indonesian Muslims to those in need.

“We invite everyone to support Lazismu efforts by joining philanthropic programs, such as Joint Action Palestine 2025,” said Rais.

Rais highlighted that this program reflects Muhammadiyah commitment to humanitarian work.

“By working together, we can make a greater impact for Palestine. I encourage everyone to contribute to these efforts,” he added.

The program includes distributing essential supplies, healthcare services, building public facilities, providing iftar meals during Ramadan, and supporting education.

“We have carefully planned everything to ensure the aid reaches those who need it most,” explained Rais.

Besides, the delegation will meet with international humanitarian organizations to strengthen collaboration and explore long-term solutions for Palestinian self-sufficiency through economic empowerment projects.

Rais hoped this initiative would inspire more people to join the movement.

“Teamwork and trust will enable us to bring meaningful change to the lives of our Palestinian brothers and sisters,” said Rais.

This is the second Join Action Palestine program organized by Lazismu and POROZ, following the first one in September 2024. The second group of the initial delegation was led by Secretary-General of Lazismu Gunawan Hidayat, joined by representatives from Lazismu branches of Lampung, Central Java, West Java, and Yogyakarta.
