MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo and Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Fajar Riza Ul Haq visited the Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta on Monday, February 17, as part of their tour of Muhammadiyah educational institutions in Yogyakarta. They had previously visited Universitas ‘Aisyiyah (Unisa) Yogyakarta.
During the visit, Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta presented its master plan for the development of the integrated school, which spans 11.5 hectares and has been under construction since 2019. So far, 14 buildings have been constructed, with plans for further expansion in the future.
Minister Dody Hanggodo expressed his admiration for the project, highlighting Muhammadiyah dedication to advancing education in Indonesia.
“I am truly impressed by this master plan. This clearly shows how serious Muhammadiyah is about building a future for Indonesian children,” said Dody.
He also emphasized the government’s commitment to strengthening the nation’s education system, stating that collaboration with organizations like Muhammadiyah is essential to achieving this goal.
“Muhammadiyah and the government share the same mission, to develop education. We have been working to build more schools across the country, and this effort requires strong support from various stakeholders, especially Muhammadiyah,” he added.
Meanwhile, President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir stressed the importance of sustainable collaboration between the government and Muhammadiyah.
“This partnership ensures that every development project we undertake contributes to long-term progress while maintaining self-resilience. We hope this collaboration will continue and grow stronger,” stated Haedar.
