MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Muhammadiyah reinforces its efforts to improve healthcare and education in Eastern Indonesia by partnering with the Ministry of Public Works. The collaboration focuses on expanding infrastructure to provide better access to essential services in remote areas.
“Muhammadiyah has several healthcare and education projects in Eastern Indonesia. We would like to work with the government to enhance these services,” said the General Treasurer of Muhammadiyah Hilman Latief after a coordination meeting with Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo at the Muhammadiyah Office, Jakarta on Friday, January 24.
Hilman explained that the development efforts will focus on Papua, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), and Aceh, with a priority on building hospitals. Muhammadiyah is currently planning to establish new hospitals, and the discussion centered on how the organization’s vision aligns with the government’s efforts to improve public welfare.
“The main point of the meeting was to discuss Muhammadiyah hospital construction plans and explore ways to collaborate with the government. The response was positive, and both sides are looking forward to working together,” Hilman added.
Earlier, the President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to supporting President Prabowo Subianto’s vision for national prosperity.
“We have great confidence in the President. We stand with him in two key areas: his commitment to Indonesia’s sovereignty and his vision for a just and prosperous society,” said Haedar.
