MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, PARIS – Secretary-General of Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu’ti visited the Paris Grand Mosque on Monday, September 23.
Accompanied by the General Treasurer of the Muhammadiyah Youth Association Machhendra Setyo Atmaja, Mu’ti was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Director of the Paris Grand Mosque, Sheikh Rachid Bentcheikh and public relations officer Narriman Khalef.
During the visit, Mu’ti received a comprehensive overview of the Paris Grand Mosque and the challenges faced by the Muslims in France.
“Sheikh Rachid expressed his admiration for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims, commending their discipline, politeness, and sincerity,” said Mu’ti.
The meeting also explored potential collaborations, such as sending French students to study in Indonesia, particularly at Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah universities.
