MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BOGOR – The Muhammadiyah Council for Social Welfare (MPKS) collaborated with Sentra Galih Pakuan and Universitas Muhammadiyah Bogor Raya (UMBARA) to provide forty people with disabilities in Bogor Regency assistive devices.
The devices such as wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, and prosthetic legs were symbolically handed over by a representative of the Sentra Galih Pakuan bambang and the UMBARA Rector Edy Sukardi on Tuesday, October 1.
“The rector sent a proposal to the Sentra Galih Pakuan. An assessment was conducted to determine the type of assistive devices needed by the beneficiaries,” said Faozan Amar, Secretary of the MPKS.
Faozan hoped that the aid would support daily activities of the people with disabilities.
Meanwhile, one of the beneficiaries Hendra Jaya Brata expressed his gratitude. “Alhamdulillah, I can walk again. Thank you to everyone,” said Hendra.
