MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Vice Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Council for Cadre and Human Resources (MPKSDI) Moch Irfan Islami emphasized the importance of empowering people with disabilities, particularly women, to reach their full potential.
In the launch of the book “Menakar Hak Pendidikan Perempuan Penyandang Disabilitas: Interseksi Agama, Gender, dan Kebijakan” (Measuring the Right to Education for Women with Disabilities: Intersections of Religion, Gender, and Policy), Irfan highlighted one of the MPKSDI missions.
“This book launch aligns with the MPSI mission to empower people with disabilities, especially women,” said Irfan.
He hoped that the book would become a source of inspiration and motivation for individuals with disabilities, encouraging them to pursue their goals. Additionally, Irfan emphasized the importance of implementing the book’s findings within communities to enhance the participation of women with disabilities in society.
“May this book motivate and inspire people with disabilities, especially women, to continue to contribute and make something. May their work be applicable in the community and daily lives,” said Irfan.
Irfan further highlighted the need for collective efforts to support the development of skills and capabilities among individuals with disabilities.
“Disability should not be a barrier. People with disabilities have the ability to be as active and productive as anyone else,” said Irfan.
