MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, THAILAND – The robotics team from SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya won a gold medal at the International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation, and Technology Exposition (IPITEx) in Bangkok, Thailand.
In a press release received on Monday, February 2, the school informed that three students represented SD Muhammadiyah 4 Pucang Surabaya at the competition, held from February 1 to 6, 2025. The team, consisting of Audrey Almeera Rizky Putri, Naomi Galena Dzakirah, and Cut Syafina, outperformed 3,000 participants from 45 countries, including Poland, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Canada, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Japan.
Naomi Galena Dzakirah shared her excitement over their victory and hopes for future achievements.
“I am very happy. I hope we can continue this success in the future and gain more experience in international competitions. Please keep us in your prayers,” said Naomi.
Meanwhile, the school principal Edy Susanto praised the team’s hard work and dedication, emphasizing that their success was a result of strong teamwork and support from parents and coaches.
“Alhamdulillah, I am proud of our robotics team. Their achievements keep growing. A huge thank you to the parents, coaches, and trainers who have helped build such a strong and accomplished team,” said Edy.
Besides, robotics coach Endik Setyawan also expressed his pride in the students, noting that despite this being their first international innovation competition, they performed exceptionally well.
“Through relentless practice and determination, they proved themselves as champions and won a gold medal. Alhamdulillah,” said Endik, the sixth-grade science teacher.
He hopes the students will continue participating in national and international competitions to gain experience and bring home more gold medals.
“Thank you to the Principal Edy, all the teachers, and the parents for their prayers and support,” said Endik.
