EN.MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, DEPOK – Another achievement has come from Muhammadiyah schools. Students representing several Muhammadiyah schools brought home medals from the 23rd International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) on Tuesday (6/10).
ISMO is an annual competition. This year’s event was organized by the Mathematics and Science Education Clinic (KPM). They are in collaboration with Indonesia’s Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (Mendikdasmen) and the Muhammadiyah Central Board’s Council for Primary, Secondary, and Nonformal Education (Dikdasmen PNF).
Didik Suhardi, Chairperson of Dikdasmen PNF, welcomed the Muhammadiyah students who participated in the 23rd IMSO. He said their achievements could help drive progress in Muhammadiyah education.
For Didik, the competition also demonstrates that Muhammadiyah schools can keep pace with other schools that have made significant advances.
IMSO is particularly notable because it is an international competition bringing together participants from 23 countries.
“IMSO 23 should become a turning point for the revival of Muhammadiyah education. Other schools have advanced, and we must not fall behind,” Didik further said.
