“We greatly appreciate the role of Muhammadiyah in the world, and we are very pleased if Muhammadiyah can establish cooperation and collaboration with us to make an impact, especially in Nigeria and West Africa,” said Lawal.
Both organizations explored several areas of potential collaboration. Syafiq Mughni indicated that Muhammadiyah is open to providing scholarships to Nigerian students who wish to study at Muhammadiyah universities.
“We will consider a special proposal for scholarships for Nigerian Muslim students who want to study at Muhammadiyah universities. We will wait for the official letter and we will accommodate it as long as we are able to provide scholarships for them,” he explained.
In the field of healthcare, AZAWON expressed a desire to learn from Muhammadiyah healthcare institutions and collaborate on healthcare initiatives. Thus, both parties can exchange knowledge and experiences in providing services to the community.
