BPKH and Muhammadiyah Sign MoU for Public Benefit

MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH) and Muhammadiyah signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration and explore institutional potential.

The partnership also included cooperation with ‘Aisyiyah in areas such as human resource development, educational support, and community service. The MoU was signed at the Muhammadiyah headquarters, Yogyakarta on Thursday, July 31.

Head of the BPKH Fadlul Imansyah praised Muhammadiyah as a well-managed organization, especially in economic affairs. He emphasized that the partnership is an important step toward meaningful collaboration between BPKH and Muhammadiyah.

“We at BPKH are committed to contributing to the welfare of the ummah and to increasing the benefits for future Hajj pilgrims in Indonesia. We hope this cooperation will help us achieve that,” said Fadlul.

Fadlul also mentioned that BPKH serves the entire Muslim community and that building strong partnerships with organizations like Muhammadiyah is essential.

“We need to work together with local leaders and communities across Indonesia, especially with Islamic organizations,” added Fadlul.

Meanwhile, President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir welcomed the agreement and stressed that it should lead to real and impactful action.

“This cooperation should not be just about signing an MoU. We hope these public funds can be used more effectively to empower the community. If the funds come from the ummah, they should go back to supporting the ummah,” said Haedar.
