MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, DENPASAR – President of ‘Aisyiyah Siti Noordjannah Djohantin prompted people of ‘Aisyiyah to be developed regardless their background, culture, religion, and ethnic.
“For 105 years, ‘Aisyiyah figures have thought about improving women’s life quality through education and pre-school establishment. Indeed, two ‘Aisyiyah leaders, Ibu Munjiyah and Ibu Hayinah, participated in the women’s congress in 1928 and talked about women’s dignity,” Noordjannah said at the National Oration of Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah of Bali on Friday (21/10).
In the congress, Munjiyah mentioned three characters which developed women should have.
First, women should have a noble character underlain by the faith and piety. Second, women should be knowledgeable, receive comments, and think critically. Third, women should be role models.
In addition, Noordjannah officially inaugurated Building of PAUD (pre-school) of Badung Regency and Rumah Wakaf Produktif ‘Aisyiyah (the Productive Waqf House of ‘Aisyiyah of Jembrana, Bali).
