MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – The composition of the Central Board (Pimpinan Pusat / PP) of Muhammadiyah for the 2022–2027 period has been finalized. The Secretary General of PP Muhammadiyah, Abdul Mu’ti, stated that through a plenary session conducted with full consensus, PP Muhammadiyah officially determined the composition and addition of board members for the next five years, along with their respective areas of responsibility.
“The assignment of portfolios and the addition of members to PP Muhammadiyah were determined based on recommendations from the Muktamar, PP Muhammadiyah programs, competence, integrity, and cadre development,” Mu’ti said on Friday (16/12).
The Central Executive Board appointed five additional members, namely Muhammad Sayuti, Muhammad Izzul Muslimin, Marpuji Ali, Agus Taufiqurrahman, and Salmah Orbayinah, who also serves ex officio as the Chairwoman of the Central Executive Board of ‘Aisyiyah. In accordance with Muhammadiyah’s Statute and Bylaws (AD/ART), these five members were selected to complement and strengthen the roles and duties of the thirteen Central Board members elected at the Muktamar.
Mu’ti further explained that PP Muhammadiyah is currently in the process of arranging the personnel and composition of Majelis (Councils), Institutions, and Bureaus at the Central level, whose organizational structure has been agreed upon in the plenary meeting.
He expressed hope that with this composition, PP Muhammadiyah for the 2022–2027 period will be able to carry out the mandate of the Muktamar more effectively, respond swiftly to various issues, and play an active and proactive role in the fields of religious life (keumatan), nation-building, and universal humanity.
