MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SORONG — A heartwarming video of a new student at Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah (UNIMUDA) Sorong has gone viral on social media, capturing the hearts of many Indonesians. The video, shared on Instagram account @viral.no1 on Wednesday, September 4th, features Leonard Madai, affectionately known as Amoye, who explained his inspiring reason for choosing to become a teacher.
In the video, Amoye, dressed in his new university blazer, introduced himself enthusiastically.
“Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Let me introduce myself. My name is Leonard Madai, but you can call me Amoye. I was born on April 27, 2006, in Tepakopi Village, West Panjai District, Panjai Regency, Central Papua Province,” said Amoye in the video.
Amoye, a native of Papua, shared that recently graduated from SMA Negeri 1 Panjai Timur. He is now a freshman at the Faculty of Language, Social Studies, and Sports Education, majoring in Indonesian Language at UNIMUDA Sorong.
