MUHAMMADIYAH. OR. ID, JAKARTA – President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir congratulated Prof. Brian Yuliarto, a professor of the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), on his appointment as Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology on Wednesday, February 19.
Haedar welcomed President Prabowo Subianto decision, expressing confidence in Prof. Brian’s ability to advance higher education and scientific development in Indonesia.
“Muhammadiyah is ready to continue working with the ministry to foster higher education in Indonesia. I know Prof. Brian well. He is a brilliant, accomplished, and progressive scientist,” said Haedar.
Haedar expressed confidence in Prof. Brian’s ability to carry out his responsibilities and emphasized the need for education policies to support President Prabowo’s Asta Cita (eight missions) and key national priorities.
He emphasized the importance of education policies in building strong character and significantly improving human resources with advanced scientific and technological skills. He also hoped that the ministry’s policies would promote inclusivity and fairness, ensuring private universities have equal opportunities to grow alongside state universities.
