MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Syafiq Mughni attended the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference in Manama, Bahrain, on February 19-20, 2025. This forum brought together Muslim leaders around the world to discuss challenges facing Muslims and find ways to foster unity.
Syafiq’s participation highlighted Muhammadiyah commitment to global cooperation and strengthening Islamic solidarity.
The conference, initiated by the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar with full support from the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, welcomed key figures, including Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Anwar Ibrahim, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb, and Sheikh Ahmad bin Saud Al-Siyabi from Oman. Prominent Indonesian Muslim figures such as Prof. Dr. Quraish Shihab and Tuan Guru Bajang also attended the conference.
With the theme “One Nation, One Common Destiny,” the conference focused on strengthening Islamic unity, encouraging collaboration among Muslim nations, and addressing global challenges. Syafiq stressed that dialogue is key to fostering understanding and stronger ties among Muslims.
“We hope this conference becomes a lasting platform for building connections, enhancing cooperation, and finding shared solutions to our challenges,” said Syafiq.
The conference also aimed to empower religious scholars in bridging differences and promoting fresh perspectives in Islamic thought for a more unified future.
“We hope this event leads to practical and meaningful outcomes that contribute to the progress and well-being of Muslims worldwide,” added Syafiq.
