MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Muhammadiyah, in its 111th anniversary celebration, officially launched the Gerakan Infak Pendidikan (GIP/Muhammadiyah Education Philanthropy Initiative) 111 and successfully gained IDR 82,289,308,546 per Saturday, November 18.
General Treasurer of Muhammadiyah Hilman Latief mentioned that the funds would be the endowment funds for education, following humanitarian funds that Muhammadiyah has managed.
Vice Chair of the Muhammadiyah Institute for Islamic Communication Adi Hidayat encouraged all elements and Muhammadiyah members to contribute to the development of education.
“Our donation will be our afterlife savings, leading us to heaven. Let’s donate,” said Adi Hidayat in Muhammadiyah’s 111th anniversary celebration on November 18.
To motivate others, Adi Hidayat donated one billion rupiahs, and his five children and wife also used their savings to participate in the GIP 111.
“I told my family the GIP 111, and they agreed to contribute this initiative,” said Adi Hidayat.
