MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, MALANG – One of the Indonesian government’s priority programs to achieve the Indonesia Emas (Golden Indonesia) 2045 is the development of outstanding human resources. It requires the collaboration of all elements to attain this goal.
To foster excellent human resources, the government strives to reduce the prevalence of stunting. Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Muhadjir Effendy said that Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah are expected to contribute to dealing with the stunting through several programs since it cannot be obtained alone.
First, Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah may promote the significance of adequate intake of nutritious food for pregnant women and stunting-vulnerable toddlers, provide health care for them, and collaborate with local governments.
Second, Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah should enhance the quality of their educational institutions. Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah educational institutions have already had high quality but still face stiff competition from other educational institutions.
“If possible, let us strive to ensure that Muhammadiyah and ‘Aisyiyah educational institutions, from primary, secondary, to tertiary levels, rank among the top 10 nationally,” said Muhadjir in his visit to SD Muhammadiyah 4 Malang on Sunday (18/6).
For information, during his visit, Muhadjir met the Deputy Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Regional Board of Malang City Triyo Supriyatno; Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Branch of Lowokwaru Ibnu Mujahidin; Chairwoman of the ‘Aisyiyah Branch of Lowokwaru Hj.
