MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SLEMAN – President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir has emphasized the need for ongoing revitalization and transformation to navigate the complexities of the modern world.
Referring to the sixth of the Muqodimah (Introduction) of the Statute of Muhammadiyah, Haedar explained that while organizational order is essential for the smooth functioning of the organization, it is equally important to embrace innovation and reform.
“We should balance the need to preserve our core values with the necessity of adapting to changing circumstances. Organizational reform and bureaucratic renewal are essential,” said Haedar in the training for Muhammadiyah Provincial Board Secretaries in Sleman on Thursday, August 1.
Renowned for its effective organizational management, Muhammadiyah has become a model for other Islamic organizations. Haedar stressed the importance of strengthening the organization’s identity, which encompasses three key elements: values, organizational preservation, and distinctiveness.
“We should transition from focusing solely on organizational culture to defining a clear organizational identity,” said Haedar.
To support this transformation, Muhammadiyah has introduced a brand guideline to unify the organization’s identity across various platforms.
Haedar encouraged Muhammadiyah members to approach their roles enthusiastically, recognizing the significance of their contributions to the organization’s mission. Serving Muhammadiyah is a noble calling.
