MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah conducted a Faith Action Network (F2A) forum, bringing together several religious organizations in Indonesia, at the Muhammadiyah Office of Jakarta on Thursday (October 19).
Attended by representatives of the Parisada Hindu Dharma Indonesia (PHDI), the Indonesian Buddhist Association (PERMABUDHI), and the High Council of Confucian Religion in Indonesia (MATAKIN), the forum addressed environmental issues.
“In the F2A forum, we strengthen roles of religious leaders in raising voices, advocating, and promoting social and behavioral changes to address environmental issues,” said CEO of F2A, Peter Munene.
“Faith to Action Network membership allows members to gain possible funding, participate in conferences, elevating capacity in advocacy, and organizing human resources and various programs,” added Peter Munene.
Meanwhile, the Finance and Program Coordinator of Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah Triningsih mentioned that the JISRA Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah encouraged religious leaders to be agents of change.
“Eco Bhinneka Muhammadiyah would like to engage interfaith youths and women to raise awareness and improve understanding of the significance of interfaith collaboration to preserve environment,” said Triningsih.
