MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA — The Central Board of Muhammadiyah (PP Muhammadiyah) received an audience from the Women Business Syariah Community (WBSC) at the PP Muhammadiyah Office in Jakarta on Tuesday (03/02). The Secretary of PP Muhammadiyah, M. Izzul Muslimin, accompanied by the Rector of Muhammadiyah University of Purwokerto (UMP), Jebul Suroso received the meeting.
The meeting aimed to convey WBSC’s proposal for cooperation in community empowerment programs in the fields of education, health, and the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), particularly targeting women.
Izzul Muslimin expressed his appreciation and positive response to the cooperation initiative offered by WBSC. According to him, the proposed programs align with Muhammadiyah’s commitment to promoting the economic self-reliance of the ummah.
He also encouraged WBSC to involve the Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah (PP ‘Aisyiyah) in the implementation of future programs. By doing so, Izzul Muslimin expected that the established synergy can be stronger and more sustainable.
“Basically, Muhammadiyah is very open to various cooperation initiatives, especially those that bring positive impacts to the ummah. Muhammadiyah places great emphasis on strengthening the people’s economy. Going forward, WBSC can be connected with the MSME Department of PP Muhammadiyah as well as PP ‘Aisyiyah,” he emphasized.
The audience is expected to serve as an initial step in strengthening cross-institutional collaboration, which can be followed up through concrete and sustainable programs for the benefit of the ummah and the wider community. (Rosti)
