MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, MESIR – As a part of its ongoing humanitarian efforts for the people of Palestine, Lazismu has taken another concrete step by preparing winter blankets as aid. On Monday (1/12), the Lazismu team conducted an on-site visit to a blanket factory located in the city of Ashir min Ramadan, Egypt, to ensure the quality of materials and production processes before the aid is distributed.
The visit serves as an important stage in the preparation for distribution, as the region has entered the winter season since November. The blankets currently being produced are planned to be delivered in large quantities for the residents of Gaza, amounting to one truck container.
Barry Adhitya, Vice Chairperson of the Central Board of Lazismu, who was present during the visit, explained the detailed stages of blanket production.
“The manufacturing of these blankets goes through four stages, beginning with the knitting of yarn into fabric, dyeing, cutting and sewing, and finally the packaging process,” Barry explained.
Meanwhile, Mochammad Sholeh Farabi, Director of Fundraising and Partnership of Lazismu Central Board, expressed his appreciation for the quality of the products being prepared.
The blankets are thick and comfortable for use during the winter season,” he said, affirming that the aid meets the needs of those affected.
The program also demonstrates strong synergy in the humanitarian movement, with the involvement of volunteers from Lazismu Egypt, Lazismu Central Java, and Lazismu North Sumatra in supporting the preparation of aid distribution.
At the end of the visit, Barry expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian public for entrusting their philanthropic contributions to Lazismu.
“People of Indonesia, thank you for every donation given to Lasiz Muhammadiyah. All aid is now being prepared to help keep the warmth of Gaza,” he said.
This act is a part of Lazismu’s effort to bring social solidarity and protection towards refugees in Palestine. (Bintang Adrian)
