MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SYDNEY – The spirit of Muhammadiyah’s 113th Anniversary has not only echoed across Indonesia but also has grown stronger in various parts of the world. On Sunday (23/11), Secretary of Muhammadiyah Central Board, Muhammad Sayuti, had the opportunity to attend the celebration of the 113th Muhammadiyah Anniversary organized by the Special Branch Board of Muhammadiyah in New South Wales (PCIM NSW) in Sydney, Australia.
In a warm atmosphere of togetherness. Sayuti expressed his gratitude for being able to celebrate Muhammadiyah’s anniversary with the community abroad.
“Alhamdulillah, I could enjoy the anniversary feast together with Muhammadiyah members in the diaspora. This is proof that the spirit of the Muhammadiyah movement remains alive wherever it is,” he said.
On this occasion, Sayuti was also accompanied by several lecturers from Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD) who mingled closely with Muhammadiyah members and community in Sydney.
Furthermore, he conveyed that Muhammadiyah in Australia continues to show encouraging progress in the education sector. After Muhammadiyah Australia College (MAC) I in Melbourne has been operating very well, Muhammadiyah is now pioneering the establishment of MAC II in Sydney.
“We are contributing to the initiative to establish Muhammadiyah Australia College II. This is an important step in expanding Muhammadiyah’s educational role in Australia,:” he explained.
Sayuti emphasized that the presence of Muhammadiyah schools abroad not only serves as educational institutions but also as platforms to strengthen Muhammadiyah’s global contribution and missionary work (da’wah). (Bintang Adrian)
