MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, LONDON – The joy of Muhammadiyah’s 113th Anniversary reached the land of Britain, held at the Indonesian Islamic Center (IIC) mosque in Neasden, London, United Kingdom.
The celebration was organized by the Special Branch Board of Muhammadiyah (PCIM) United Kingdom and Ireland on (22/11). The Chairperson of PCIM UK, Dyah Mustikaning Pitha Prawesti, expressed her gratitude the attendance of the participants.
Indeed, all participants traveled long distances to come to IIC London, especially those who reside in Ireland. They arrived using public transportation such as trains and buses, as well as private vehicles.
“May the ties of friendship built here not only strengthen our brotherhood, but also become a means of prolonging life, expanding the blessings of sustenance, and opening greater opportunities for goodness and charitable acts,” she conveyed.
The event continued with the distribution of Muhammadiyah Membership Cards (KTAM) to several Muhammadiyah residents representing PCIM UK and Ireland.
The KTAM distribution was not merely and administrative agenda, but a symbol of emotional bond and commitment to Muhammadiyah and to serving the organization abroad.
The rare opportunity for members of the Muhammadiyah diaspora to gather overseas became a precious moment. The celebration of Muhammadiyah’s 113th Anniversary also served as a chance to ease the longing of being far from the homeland.
