MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – The General Secretary of Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu’ti and Chair of Lazismu (the Muhammadiyah zakat management body) Ahmad Mujadid Rais welcomed the visit of the Ambassador of Kenya to the Republic of Indonesia Galma Mukhe Boru to the Muhammadiyah Office of Jakarta on Thursday (2/3).
It was the second visit. Galma firstly came on 27 December 2022 and was welcomed by the President of Muhammadiyah Haedar Nashir.
Mujadid Rais said the meeting discussed possible cooperation between Kenya and Muhammadiyah, particularly in education.
“It was a follow-up of the first visit. The Ambassador confirmed several collaborations with Muhammadiyah such as scholarship offers for Kenyans to pursue their higher education in Muhammadiyah universities,” said Mujadid.
The other collaboration was about universal humanity. Galma proposed well drilling in Kenya due to droughts in that country.
