MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – In a landmark move, PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and Muhammadiyah have joined hands to establish a network of agency offices across the country. This strategic partnership, signed on Friday (January 12), paves the way for a closer collaboration in social, educational, and healthcare sectors, with a shared goal of empowering Muhammadiyah institutions towards self-reliance.
The agreement was inked by Agus Taufiqurrohman, Chairman of Muhammadiyah, and Tonggo Marbun, Business Courier and Logistics Director of Pos Indonesia. Under its terms, Pos Indonesia will equip Muhammadiyah institutions with dedicated agency offices, offering access to essential services like courier delivery, financial transactions, and bill payments.
This initiative resonates with Muhammadiyah’s longstanding commitment to social welfare. “Our partnership with Pos Indonesia complements our dedication to serving the community,” explains Mariman Darto, Chairman of the Muhammadiyah Council for Social Welfare (MPKS). “These agency offices will not only enhance our services but also provide a valuable platform for Muhammadiyah institutions to become financially independent.”
However, the collaboration extends beyond mere resource provision. Pos Indonesia’s extensive portfolio of financial services opens doors for further integration. These agency offices could potentially evolve into one-stop hubs for community needs, offering bill payments, financial transactions, and even micro-lending opportunities.
Tonggo Marbun, a key architect of this agreement, envisions a bright future for this partnership. “Today marks the beginning of a journey where Muhammadiyah’s social vision and Pos Indonesia’s service network converge to empower communities,” he affirms. “Working together, we can create a sustainable model that not only strengthens Muhammadiyah institutions but also uplifts the lives of countless Indonesians.”
The agreement lays the groundwork for a swift implementation, promising tangible benefits for both parties. By uniting their strengths, Muhammadiyah and Pos Indonesia are poised to become a formidable force for social progress, paving the way for a more self-reliant and empowered future for Indonesian communities.
