MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, SURABAYA – Five Tapak Suci athletes from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah 06 (MI Musix) Tebluru, Solokuro, Lamongan, recorded impressive achievements at the UNESA Pencak Silat Challenge Competition (UPSCC) III, held at the Sports Hall of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA).
The national-level championship took place from December 18-21, 2025 and was attended by pencak silat athletes from various schools, institutions, and silat organizations across Indonesia. The event also served as a talent development arena, showcasing young athletes from early childhood to pre-adolescent categories.
Head of MI Musix Tebluru, Hendra Hari Wahyudi, expressed gratitude and pride over the students’ accomplishments. He noted that the achievement marked an important milestone for the school, as it was the first time the five athletes had competed outside Lamongan Regency.
“Alhamdulillah, the children, who were participating in an out-of-area competition for the first time, managed to win titles. This is a great source of pride for us, considering that previously we only competed in events around Lamongan, such as O2SN or Porseni,” said Hendra.
He further explained that the five athletes successfully secured, first, second, and third places in their respective categories. He also extended his sincere appreciation to the students’ parents and coaches for their continuous support.
The award recipients were:
- Abid Raytama – 1st place, Class B, early childhood category
- Rahma Imelda – 1st place, Class A, pre-adolescent category
- Rixatih Shaloom – 2nd place, Class D, early childhood category
- Arka Arkian – Champion, Class K, pre-adolescent category
- Akifa Naila – 3rd place, Class C, pre-adolescent category
This achievement is expected to motivate all MI Musix Tebluru students to continue developing their potential. Beyond academics, strengthening non-academic achievements is seen as an essential part of nurturing students’ interests and talents, particularly in sports such as pencak silat.
