MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, YOGYAKARTA – Indonesia’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Ummar, praised Muhammadiyah as a pioneer of Progressive Islam whose contributions have shaped the nation for more than a century.
“The footprint of Muhammadiyah’s service can be found in every corner of the country: schools, hospitals, and community empowerment programs. All of them stand as living witnesses to Muhammadiyah’s love and dedication to the nation,” he said in a recorded message received on Thursday (13/11).
Nasaruddin highlighted this year’s Milad theme, “Advancing the Nation’s Welfare,” calling it a moral calling that aligns with the ideals of Islam rahmatan lil ‘alamin.
“Happy 113th Anniversary to Muhammadiyah. May Muhammadiyah continue to serve as a moral and intellectual guide for the nation, fostering an Islam that is peaceful, inclusive, and enlightening for civilization. And may Allah SWT bless every step of our struggle in realizing a prosperous Indonesia,” he concluded. (Bintang Adrian)
