MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, BANTUL – The Chairperson of the Central Board of ‘Aisyiyah, Siti Noordjannah Djohantini, emphasized that the Nutrition Fulfillment Task Force (SPPG) ‘Aisyiyah in Kasihan is ready to become a model of professional, standards-based nutritious meal services that prioritize community empowerment.
She conveyed this message in a doorstop interview after inaugurating the SPPG on Thursday (13/11).
Noordjannah explained that this SPPG is part of the SPPG network initiated by the Muhammadiyah National Coordination for Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG). The opening of this service unit in Kasihan marks ‘Aisyiyah’s commitment to strengthening the movement for providing free nutritious meals with measurable quality.
“SPPG ‘Aisyiyah in Kasihan, Bantul, is one of the SPPG units initiated by the Muhammadiyah National Coordination Team for Free Nutritious Meal Program. This inauguration signifies that ‘Aisyiyah in Kasihan is actively participating in the effort to prepare healthy, high-quality nutritious meal services managed professionally,” she said.
She emphasized that all equipment and service processes at the SPPG have been adjusted to the standards set by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN). “Everything we do follows BGN standards to maintain quality and professionalism in preparing this Free Nutritious Meal Program,” she added.
The SPPG began operating on 10 November 2025. Noordjannah expressed optimism that this service will bring broad benefits, especially because it involves the surrounding community as implementers.
“They work wholeheartedly, and we provide the ingredients. All of this is for community empowerment,” she explained. She also noted that the volunteers had received training and undergone health checks before being recruited.
Going forward, the SPPG in Kasihan aims to reach a capacity of up to 2,500 nutritious meal units per day. “We hope to serve optimally and foster strong social compassion,” Noordjannah said.
With strict standards, support from nutrition teams, and active involvement of local residents, SPPG ‘Aisyiyah Kasihan is expected to become a model of professional, sustainable, and empowerment-based nutritious meal service. (Bintang Adrian)
