MUHAMMADIYAH.OR.ID, JAKARTA – Humanitarian aid for Palestine remains urgently needed by residents affected by Israel’s genocide. The Association of Zakat Management Organizations (POROZ) once again delivered assistance through Join Action for Palestine 4, as conveyed in a press release on Friday (28/11/2025) at the PBNU Office in Jakarta.
POROZ’s commitment as a consortium of faith-based zakat institutions continues to strengthen, ensuring that Palestinians can fulfill their basic human rights and essential needs amid a prolonged humanitarian crisis.
Lazismu, as part of POROZ, has contributed to this mission through a collaborative working model. The President Director of Lazismu Central, Ibnu Tsani, explained that fundraising conducted by Lazismu nationwide is carried out through strategic partnerships among POROZ members.
“Each POROZ member has its own networks and mass base as strengths, This humanitarian mission has been planned and coordinated with the Indonesian government and relevant embassies,” he said.
Ibnu added that all delegates of Join Action for Palestine 4 will depart from Egypt, considering the safer border routes. POROZ is also coordinating with the Egyptian government and strategic partners there to ensure effective distribution of aid.
The previous three humanitarian actions were executed successfully. Therefore, for this fourth initiative, thorough planning is being prioritized to ensure smooth delivery of assistance.
“This humanitarian effort does not overlook disasters in Indonesia. Lazismu and POROZ remain committed to responding to domestic emergencies and will carry out joint actions according to community needs, such as recent flash floods and landslides in several provinces,” he emphasized.
The humanitarian aid sent by Lazismu for Palestinians includes two caravan sanitary units (toilets), three flour trucks each carrying 800 sacks, Egypt Food Package kits, medical supplies, and winter blanket packages.
Meanwhile, POROZ Chair Bukhori Muslim revealed that the total aid distributed to Palestinians so far has reached approximately Rp 16 billion.
“Alhamdulillah, all of this is entrusted by the Indonesian public to zakat institutions,” he said.
A total of 18 delegates have been dispatched. The total logistics transported through Egypt consists of 13 trucks containing portable toilets, medical supplies, blankets, basic necessities, soap, and medical tools coordinated with strategic partners.
“We ask for prayers from all Indonesians so that this aid delivery, from departure to distribution to beneficiaries, can proceed smoothly and safely,” he added.
To date, POROZ records show that assistance has reached 154,000 beneficiaries. This humanitarian initiative reflects a shared commitment to continuously support the people of Gaza.
