Organizational Symbol
 | : | The Form of SymbolThe symbol of organization is a sun that radiates twelve pure white shining lights to all directions. In the middle of the sun, there is the word ‘Muhammadiyah’ in Arabic. In the upper circle, there is an Arabic sentence expressing the Muslim creed that reads asyhadu alla ilaa,ha illa Allah (There is no God but Allah); in the lower circle, there is an Arabic sentence that reads wa asyhadu anna Muhammaddar Rasulullah (and Muhammad is His Prophet). The whole picture of the sun and its attributes are white, existing on leaf-green as a background color. The Meaning of Symbol· The sun is a central spot in the solar system and the source of power for all living things on earth. If the sun is a biological source, Muhammadiyah is expected to be the source of spiritual power with Islamic values that have syahadat sentence (the two Arabic sentences expressing the Muslim creead) as its nucleus. Twelve lights speading to all directions symbolize the determination and enthusiasm of Muhammadiyah members in fighting for Islam and the spirit of never giving up, just like the Hawari group (12 Prophet Isa’s disciples). White color in the whole picture of sun symbolizes purity and sincerity. The green color that becomes the background depicts tranquility and prosperity.
